Angela Kenneally (O’Mara)

Angela completed BSc (Hons) Physio in Trinity College in 2008. She worked for three years in the acute hospital setting, rotating through the key competencies for physiotherapists (orthopaedics, respiratory, neurology, musculoskeletal outpatients, care of the elderly). After time spent in the acute setting, Angela then went on to work in the community, where she carried out domiciliary home visits, out patient visits and conducted exercise classes. During this time, Angela also worked with multiple sports teams in GAA and soccer.

In 2015, Angela moved into the private sector, where she built on her work with teams and elite athletes. She has a special interest in working with the female athlete, and is currently the lead physiotherapist for the Rep of Ireland women’s national soccer team. In 2018 she specialised in the area of women’s health and continence, and has a specific interest in helping post partum women return to their sport/ activity in a safe, effective and efficient way.

She is currently undertaking a masters degree in sports and exercise medicine in UCC and is due to conclude this in 2021.
